We bought this phone for our mother/mother-in-law. She has been in an assisted living facility for almost a year and suffers from dementia. At times she believes someone has robbed her and calls, and continues to call, the police. The staff have to unplug her phone at that time. The family then has to call the staff so they can bring their phone to her so she can talk. When she gets her "thefts" out of her mind the staff plug the phone back in.We got a tip from a person at our phone company who had the idea to look on the internet after we were asking if the phone company could do something. This phone has been a blessing because the family are able to call at any time and get through and she can't phone the police. Sometimes she asks why she can't phone out but everyone tells her the other one wasn't working and they couldn't call her. It seems to satisfy her.
