I am a PhD student and have a small set up that consists of my Lenovo 5G Flex laptop, and 2 portable Lenovo monitors for ease of travel because I am also military. I also ordered a dual monitor mount that raises and lowers to use with this stand that has not arrived yet but I am beyond pleased with how much bigger the desktop is from what I had pictured from the online photos. Even without a monitor stand I can fit both my 14” portable monitors and my 14” laptop in a U like pattern around the top part of the desk though my laptop also fits nicely on the keyboard area with my other two monitors on the table. I just use an external mouse and keyboard when needed, but so far have found I like it better with a full sized keyboard on the lower level at least until my mount arrives to put the two portable monitors on the mount and then the laptop and my books on the regular desktop with the full sized keyboard. Hopefully that makes sense to those reading this as I am typing quickly on my phone to post a review. All-in-all this desk is amazing. I have been able to use it in my living room at the couch, standing wherever and when ever, in my room, my office, and sitting on my bed. Basically anywhere I find I need to work on my homework from it has been amazing. It is super sturdy and a bit heavier than I thought but fits nicely in my SUV for when I have to go stay in the barracks for field training. Yes I am that weirdo who brings a full desk solution to the field but that’s probably because being in the S6 why the heck not and how else who I get my homework done comfortably. I hate homework so anything to make it more comfortable is a god send. I also have a toddler and whatever room I need to take my PC set up to I can as well. If I can add pics later with the monitor mount set up and my desk mounted surge protector set up, I will come back and add them to give folks set up ideas. I also must say I love Vivo products. I also have a Vivo heavy duty 3-motor corner desk beast with the highest weight rating that is super amazing as well but not very portable. That one I use for my work stuff as I have a separate PC and monitor set up there with 2-27” monitors and a 17” laptop that I didn’t try on this desk as they are for different purposes though I am considering a second one of these for a portal work desk setup as well. I don’t mix my work PC equipment with my personal equipment so having separate desk stations for me is perfect. I also keep work stuff only in the office so I am not really sure I’d need a second portable set up for home, but who knows. Any ways, I love that everything was predrilled and had machined screws so I didn’t have to decide where to mount stuff to the bottom of the top like my large desk that didn’t come with a top. I love that the legs as super sturdy as well because I have been using them to prop my feet on when sitting down at it. The keyboard section is easily removable which is super helpful when trying to take it around tight corners into the bedrooms or out to the living room etc. The feet lock so when I put my feet on it the desk doesn’t roll away. The motor is super quiet and I love that I can save the heights using the memory functions. Someone’s reviews mentioned they didn’t like the presets so I found it funny they must have missed the parts about programming them to other heights as desired. That’s all for now. Hopefully someone finds this helpful or amusing. :)
