Only complaint is that the board doesn't stick to the arm rests. Some velcro would work so it's a simple fix just thought it would have been already with the product. This lap desk is 100% affected by your chosen surface to work on. On a couch or bed, it's great and the cushions add some important utility. In a chair, I'd ignore the cushions and just use the bamboo top.It is HUMONGOUS if you use the two side-cushions. They are helpful, with a couple little pouches (one is velcro-attached, with a shockingly strong adhesive strip to hold it to the couch for the hook-side) to store doodads, cables, etc. There is, of course, a can- or bottle-holder as well. It's an elastic/mesh pocket similar to one on the side of a backpack, so not good for cups. They also have nice leather tops that make them comfy armrests. The side cushions support the desktop and keep it from sliding around, but you will get "trapped" so I'd only use them if you don't plan on getting up for awhile. They also have a very "gamer" aesthetic, with an urban digital camo pattern. The desk surface is a nice black-painted bamboo, with a big cutout under the left-side laptop position for air circulation. This is not meant for lefties, but can be used as such with either some modification, or just thermal compromise. It's large enough to fit a 15" gaming laptop (I use an Acer Triton 500) and a typical hard- or soft-mousepad. It includes one, but I chose to put my own Acer RGB pad on it.There is a nifty little cellphone/tablet slot on the upper right of the workspace that's wide enough for an iPad or 8-10" Android tablet in landscape mode. It is very narrow and shallow though, maybe 1/2" wide and 5/8" deep, so you can't put a phone or tablet with a case there and portrait orientation is a bit wobbly with bigger devices. You can get around this by getting a small gooseneck tablet holder and just clipping that to the desk surface. The tablet slot also has a small passthrough in the middle for a charging cable that is VERY obviously designed for cellphones or iPads.I also found it useful to use some 3M strips to attach a little 5-port USB hub behind the computer space, to make the whole desk a bit like a dock that I could grab my laptop and mouse off of when travelling and lets me leave most of the accessories behind without worrying about misplacing them. Also lets me do nicer cable management with tie-downs so that each time I sit down (or store the bamboo top) everything is neatly packaged and I just need to plug in a USB 3.0 cable to boot everything up..Vacuum packed. Ok. But hours later the foam still wasn’t fully expanded. Did a little googling, took the covers off, put ny iron on medium with steam on high and it was like magic! It literally expanded before my eyes. Also got the chemical smell out. Waited a few more hours and now they fill out the covers nice and tight like I hoped. Finally support for my long arms and I can sit back on my couch with my head up.I get up and down alot so I love that I can lift it like a tray, set it on the coffee table, and sit back down without moving the cushions. I wonder how long the foam will last though. It seems pretty dense and I’m a small person so I’m hoping a few years. I wish they would have skipped the “wrist rests” that are more like scratch pads. I’m going to get some black adhesive moleskin, cut it to size, rip off the pleather pieces and put some of that there instead. My only complaint is moving everything when I have to get up, and storage space when not in use. That being said this is an excellent product that makes it super easy to put my feet up on the couch and still be able to comfortably use my laptop for internet surfing and playing world of warcraft. It's not one solid unit but two cushions and a slab. The placement of the mouse pad prevents anything but a small laptop from sitting right. The laptop is off center, to much left, so it's awkward to use. I bought this for a specific use need somit will do for now but you could do the same with two pillows and a 2x4 just lose the cloth comfortI am generally not a fan of lap desks; I rarely can get comfortable using them and usually find myself wanting to get away from them after about an hour passes by. More often than not, I’ll skip one entirely and just keep my laptop in my lap when working on the couch. So when I got this thing, I wasn’t really expecting miracles… but let me tell you, it definitely surprised me.First- I didn’t realize that it isn’t a single, solid piece, but actually 3 pieces: 2 big rectangular cushions and a flat desk that lies across them. I wasn’t sure what to make of that at first, but man oh man did they make a good call there. I plopped down with this thing on my couch, and the flexibility it gives me reposition myself is amazing. I think if it had been a single piece it would not have been nearly as nice. The desk portion is exceptionally wide, so it has room for my 15” laptop and the oversized mouse pad that this desk came with, or for a full keyboard and a mouse pad set up. There are small vent openings under where the laptop goes to allow better airflow, which helps as well. I don’t really use the tablet holder, but it’s there if I wanted to.All together I’m very happy with this thing. The shipping time was a bit slow, I think there were stock issues at the time, but it was worth the wait.I had to wait an extra month because of the shipping issues that are plaguing our country but it was well worth it. The seller kept me informed that while it looked like it had shipped it would be delayed and I had the choice to return or wait. If you want to use a laptop and mouse for anything on a couch this is the perfect item. If you have a really squishy couch I could see there maybe being some issues, but anything medium firm up you are good to go.Comes in three pieces - two arm rests and a table. Numerous pockets, a slot for tablet/phones, and came with a large mousepad. The design is flawless and extremely comfortable. It is even high enough for me to cross my legs under it! Huge improvement from gaming hunched over a table. If you do not have a proper gaming set up (like me) or want some versatility to sit on the couch, give this a shot. Worth every penny to me, I couldn’t be happier with it.While this product is obviously not designed for us lefties, it is still one of the only products I have found that can accommodate us. It means not using the adhesive base of the mouse pad that is included if you want to keep the option of using the cooling grille open, and you may want to use a different mouse pad with a standard grip bottom if you are having sliding issues. Another great benefit of this product that I discovered after opening and included a picture of, is how easily it can be used as a side table while not in use. Slide the two arm cushions together, put the tray on top, and voila! If you are in the market for a lap desk, I highly recommend this product, and if you're not, then please reply with how you found yourself in the Amazon comment section for a lap desk. Stay safe, happy and healthy everyone!I’ve been using the cybot for a few weeks. Overall it’s a great solution for sofa gaming with a mouse/keyboard, and without paying almost $100 more for the next version this is probably the best option available, on Amazon at least. That said, there are some things to be aware of before buying. As a frame of reference, I am not using this for a laptop but a keyboard. The good:Very, very comfortable to use (with the exception of the wrist rests, as outlined below). More comfortable than a desk for me!Good build quality (for the most part) and good materialsNice and large, fits everything you need nicely. It is quite large though, and you can easily take up an entire 2-seat sofa, so keep that in mind if you’re sharing. The drink holder on the left works great, even for a cupThe bad:The only bad thing of note about the product are the “wrist pads” on each side. Perhaps I just got a bad one, but the faux leather material is raised around the edges of the wood inset and scrape your wrist. Hopefully other units are better, but why the company didn’t just leave this as a nice, smooth tapered wood edge is baffling to me - that would be so much better than either a raised or indented edge on your wrist. I have ended up getting a large mousepad to cover the entire board and overlap the wrists rests. The build quality is overall good, but the laptop cooling cutouts had some minor machining errors inside, which caused some of the paint to flake off. By no means a big deal, but notable.Ultimately, this is what I’d recommend if you can’t afford the $250 version and is good overall - I just wish it was a bit better in a few places!Feedback for the company:1. Please offer a version at this or similar price without the slots for laptop cooling. They are of debatable value for laptop users to begin, seeing as laptops are designed to cool effectively on a flat surface anyway. Seems like a marketing gimmick to me, ESPECIALLY seeing as the only version without them costs $100 more for basically no reason.2. Remove the wrist pads. Even if the manufacturer was consistent in making them flush, they are too small and thin to be worth it. Just make it smooth, the boards finish is very good.3. STOP WITH THE CAMO! Just make them black or grey, or at least do something that isn’t a gaudy “gamer” design. I don’t think the 12 year olds that still thinks camo is cool are your target audience for this product. The arm rest us torn open right brand new from the box. This is nit a good sign for this products quality, especially for a nearly $200 price tag. Yikes do not recommend. Not bad , foam seem good but can be improve for the price,my suggestion is have a option or not to add grip to keep the tablet stable or something to "lock" in corner of those foam and tablet is heavy a bit and cuchion for wrist would be nice but overall is a good productAwesome product, comes exactly as advertised. The bamboo tray is solid and well designed for my laptop to vent properly.I highly recommend this product!
