I have a room that does not have an overhead light. I have to rely on the use of lamps. lighting is really bad in this room and I needed something that was bright but not overpowering. This lamp is perfect. I love the options for brightness and color temperature. I find the gesture on off switch to be very sensitive and very accurate, but it's because of that, I chose to leave it off. If you don't have a lot of space in a room it's a good idea to leave it off because it will turn the light on and off at the tip of a hat. Props the manufacturer for installing a really good proximity sensor. There's also an option to turn off the light that highlights the power switch. The design is pretty amazing very flexible and height adjustable. I like that I have 360° to turn it in any direction I want. The size is very compact and takes up next to nothing in terms of space on a desk or table. I say for the 60 bucks it's definitely worth it and the value is impressive for something that seems to be very well built with high quality materials. It's also very lightweight which is great because at the moment I have it attached to a very small table there is no assembly required. All you need to do is adjust it to your preferred height and tighten the clamp on the table and you're good to go. The only thing I can find that would be a con is the flexible pole could use a few more inches. I was under the visual impression it was going to be longer but that's by no means a reason it not to buy it. Truly a great light great product. The handheld remote comes in handy if you're using it as an everyday light to turn on when you come home. I like the timer as well though I probably won't ever use it but it's a great feature. Battery is not included for the remote.
