The desk is exactly what I expected when I ordered it. I have built so many similar furniture pieces, that I am very aware of how to build it and make it as sturdy and useful as possible. You have to be careful to not over tighten the fastening material, or you will strip/break them. You need to watch where you are placing the boards and where you grab the desk when you move it or it will break, or get damaged. But if you do that, this desk will work great for you. This works great for my music room. I don't have a ton of extra cash, so this fits the bill perfect and will do so for many years. If you are not handy or patient, then probably better to look for an expensive desk and someone to build it for you.I purchased this for the space in my room over the garage in between my spare bed and my couch. It fit with room to spare. The L Shape gives me added room to work as well. The shelf is a nice addition because I am able to store my printer and other miscellaneous items. I am 6'4" and have no leg room issues. It was easy to assemble but some items came with marks and scratches on them. These items were not in visible areas after assembly. When attaching the two units together screws come through the top without ever over tightening. It's not that the included screws are too long. It's just that when they are screwed into the adjacent parts just enough to grab the wood they come through the top.Good product. Kinda cheap material and if you over tighten any of the screws it will ruin it. I accidentally over tightened one of the screws and it is forever loose now. It's no 1,000$ desk but it's pretty solid.I got one for my bedroom, and it has given me so much more workspace. There is a lot of leg room, and my 16-year-old son liked it so much that he bought one for his man cave. We highly recommend this product.Quick easy assembly. No power tools needed just one flathead strew driver. I’m 6ft and I have no issues with leg space. My only issue is there’s very limited access to the side shelves from the seated position. There’s a support bar there that goes down the side. Small nicks in the wood but it’s for home use so for me that’s not an issue.Very good material and space is good for youth age group.dopeOnly keeping this because it would be too much hassle to disassemble and re-pack everything into the box. We experienced several issues:1) Table is wobbly, even when we made sure that all fasteners were snug.2) One of the panels (panel B) was missing two holes that should have been drilled. And yes we did triple check that we had the correct piece in the correct orientation. Everything was assembled as instructed, except two holes that were shown in the diagram just weren't there. We had to drill into the panel ourselves to get the pieces correctly fastened.3) Don't know if it was an issue at the factory or during shipping, but several surfaces were scratched and edges were chipped. Pretty unsightly and disappointing for brand new piece of furniture.I don't remember the last time I've been this disappointed by something from Amazon. If these above points weren't issues, this would otherwise be a pretty decent desk. But as it stands, buyer beware.Ordered it Thursday morning with free shipping, it was here Monday morning. Very easy to put together, you only need a phillips head screwdriver and about an hour of time. Id suggest assembling the second section while the main part is upright rather than flip it afterwards as the instructions suggest. The instructions were very clear, even listing the number of screws per board to clarify it as much as possible. This desk is idiot proof. Every section was in perfect condition. The package is heavy, so be careful when taking it in. All screws tighten down properly, although you may drive one or two crooked but a little tap in the right direction with the back of a screwdriver will fix that. the design is very easy to take apart, using a twist lock screw design that would cause no damage if disassembled. The price is a dollar less than my walmart, it was here in no time, and the product is exactly as i expected.Bought this for our son for his University room. Perfect for what we needed it for and easy enough to put together that a 19 year old with no experience was able to assemble it. It would be great if a allen key was included so that kids purchasing for school don’t have to go out and buy a screwdriver to put it together if they don’t have one with them. We were lucky we had left some behind. Arrived undamaged and on time.I bought a black ebony ash colour of this desk and I love it. It's perfect for the price and looks nice in the corner of my small apartment. It's study enough without being bulky and was easy to assesmble. My only complaint is though that it doesn't come with a keyboard tray. I bought a couple of keyboard trays separately and had to return them because the desk was either too small and not strong enough to hold them or not wide enough in the areas needed for the tray. All in all, for the price, I'm happy with this desk. It’s a decent desk for the price point, but I don’t think I’d buy again. When it arrived it had some scratches and was missing a few screws(luckily my husband was able to find some) but it was frustrating to say the least. I’ve also noticed it scratches VERY easily, so it arriving with scratches isn’t very surprising. It took a while to assemble, but it seems to do the trick once finished. I wouldn’t say it’s shaky or anything, but definitely don’t put too much weight on it.
